Main Purpose of the Role
Supervise Operatives and Workmanship across Roofing Work streams. Resolve all operative/office queries on assigned Contract(s). Be responsible for identifying resourcing and material needs to ensure timely project and programme delivery within agreed commercial parameters and KPI’s.
Ensure Customer and Client excellence and compliance with Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental systems / procedures / legislation.
Scope & Responsibilities of the Role
- Complete Operative site inductions
- Supervise/ manage teams of Operatives on site
- Assess and monitor Operatives conduct, productivity and performance
- Regularly review and assess site Health, Safety and Environmental conditions
- Ensure H&S standards and procedures are followed, weekly H&S inspections & returns
- Review and record daily works allocations and resource planning
- Assessing incoming works for time, resource and material needs ensuring we can commit to our environmental, health, safety and quality standards
- Control and undertake quality of workmanship inspections and sign offs at key stages of Maintain records of quality inspections
- Ensure quality is maintained on site
- Innovate and encourage best practice, demonstrating a commitment to continual improvement
- Complete all paperwork including materials and labour returns, timesheet approvals,
- Ensure accuracy of Site Job Packs and Site Records
- ‘Open’ & ‘Close’ properties to ensure accuracy and completion of site records for commercial closure
- Target – ‘Zero’ defects at handover
- Be responsible for environmental, H&S and quality aspects of work on site in line with our ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 management system
- Ensure timely handover of completed properties
- Liaise with Client representatives as required over day to day issues
- Participate in joint handovers/ audits with Client officers
- Interview/ recruit new trades/ operative personnel as required utilising training centre where/if appropriate
- Support trainee’s/ apprentices development and growth
- Monitoring and implementing best working practices and quality controls to improve KPI’s
- Assist where required in absence of other Supervisors/ Site Manager/ Projects Manager
