Refurbishment Projects Manager

Due to continued growth and the success of new tenders Aspect Group Services Ltd are looking for a Refurbishment Projects Manager to join the team.

Main Purpose of the Role

The role will include day to day contract management and work stream planning, resourcing, and materials allocation across multiple disciplined property improvement works. You will ensure timely project and programme delivery within agreed commercial parameters to meet required Operational and Commercial performance targets. You will support and guide your team to achieve the highest Customer and Client excellence together with ensuring operational Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental and regulatory compliance, procedures and legislation. Key to this will be the preparation and performance analysis at regular frequencies to assist Operational and Commercial decision making.

Scope & Responsibilities of the Role

  • Plan and Manage multiple contracts / refurbishment projects resources on a day to day basis to professional, financial, environmental and quality standards
  • Manage and monitor performance of staff, labour and sub-contractor resources within the contract / project activity to achieve highest productivity and performance standards in all respect, including materials and plant requirements
  • Work alongside Operational and Commercial colleagues to build, manage and motivate an effective cohesive performing team
  • Identify and manage the risks to the programme’s successful outcome
  • Ensure that all Health, Safety & Environmental procedures are adhered to and that all activities / projects / operations are carried out to highest standards of Health, Safety & Environmental requirements to employees and general public
  • Manage and develop relationships through maintaining regular contacts / projects with relevant / key clients promoting the company both with internal and external clients/ customers
  • Target – ‘Zero’ defects at handover
  • Ensure timely handover of completed properties to programme
  • Liaise with Client representatives as required over day to day issues
  • Participate in joint handovers/ audits with Client officers
  • Interview/ recruit new trades/ operative personnel as required utilising training centre where/if appropriate
  • Support trainee and apprentice development and growth
  • Ensure that all employee relations issues on the contract are managed efficiently and effectively
  • Develop new and unique ways to improve operational delivery and service offering to create new business opportunities
  • Continual review of resource/activity with a view to maximising operational capabilities, delivery, efficiencies and bottom line contribution
  • Continually look for ways to increase customer satisfaction whilst maintaining the company’s commercial performance
  • Produce progress reports and KPI data against the programme and Operational delivery reports at regular intervals to the Directors/ Operations Manager and onward communication to Clients
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities and develop organic growth with existing clients. Work with Bid Team and contribute to PQQ & ITT submissions, as needed.
