The timeline below shows how Aspect has changed over time and grown into the thriving business it is now. We still strive to deliver excellence, just as we did at the beginning.
Our experience and focus on our customers' and clients’ needs has enabled us to expand our offering. We have also expanded our geographical reach while maintaining high levels of service provision.

Company Founded
Company founded as Aspect Roofing and Flooring Company Ltd by Mr Dick Jessop.
1972Just Roofing
Name changed to Aspect Roofing Company Ltd as the main activity became just Roofing
Acquired the premise at The Old Mill, East Harling
Started to manufacture prefabricated roof trusses
1975Acquired the Essex Tile Company Ltd
Acquired the business of the Essex Tile Company Ltd at Swaffham from the Redland Group. This company specialised in the Handmade manufacture of specialised and obsolete tiles with the production base moved to Watton
1980Moving Tiles
Tile production moved to East Harling
Acquired a depot in Oak Street, Norwich for the merchanting of roofing materials
Interesting fact. In 1988 Noble industries sold this business to Steve Dack who set up RBS.
1985Sold
Aspect Roofing Company Ltd was sold to Noble Industries
1988Aspect East Anglia Ltd was formed
Noble Industries go into receivership. Alan Howard (Roofing Director) and Michael Haythorpe (Financial Director) structure a Management Buyout and set up Aspect East Anglia Ltd
1990Paul joined the team
Paul Elliston joined the business as General Manager of the Roofing Contracting Division; Paul is now one of the Directors and Owners of the Business.
2003Acquired by Bradford and Sons
Business acquired by Bradford and Sons primarily as part of their growth plans for their Roof Truss business, Crendon Timber Engineering.
As part of the transaction the tile manufacturing business reformed as Repco, later moving to premises in Attleborough
2012A New Direction
The Aspect Roof Truss business is formally hived into Crendon Timber Engineering and formally rebranded. This left Aspect East Anglia Ltd as a stand-alone Roofing Contracting business within the Bradford Group
2015Under New Management
In November Paul Elliston and other Directors Matthew Dillon and Richard Colley, bought the entire shareholding. Whilst the part of the company which designs, manufactures and supplies roofing truss’s and rafters has been retained by Bradford and Sons under the name of Crendon Timber Engineering
2016Head Office Move
Aspect Group Services moves out of the “Old Mill” in East Harling and sets up their new home at Unit 11 on Wymondham Business Park, Norfolk.
2017Paul steps down as a Director
Paul Elliston steps down as a Director and moves to supporting the business in a part-time technical consultant capacity in our Roofing Services Division. Paul continues to bring his substantial technical acumen and auditing experience to our roofing division as we widen our offering, whilst playing a key role in ensuring our high quality workmanship and performance on site aligns to NFRC standards and our BSI ISO accreditation
2022A Change in Management
Matt Dillon & Richard Colley purchase Paul Elliston’s shareholdings of Aspect Group Services Ltd. Matt moves into the role of Managing Director and Richard to Chief Executive Officer.
2023
