Client: Private Client

Project: Repair Works to Gable Ends, porch and upgrading of insulation

Start: 14th July 2020

Completion: 23rd July 2020

Project Value: £3200

Scaffolding

Aspect Group Services supplied and installed scaffolding to either side of the house. Including using the existing flat roof of the garage as a platform.

Gable Ends

Removal of the existing cement interlocking tiles, these were then set aside for re-use once the felt repairs were completed.

New Protect Zytec type LR vapour permeable underlay was installed with 150mm laps, secured with supreme treated softwood battens.

Porch

Replacement and patching of broken tiles.  Realignment of existing tiles and lead work

Challenges

Shared Access / Restricted Space

To one side of the property was shared access with the neighbouring property, as a result, permission had to be requested to access the neighbouring garden and to erect the scaffold against their property.

Shift-Working

As one of the neighbours’ works on a shift rotation pattern, efforts were made to ensure that the works did not disturb sleep when they were on a night shift.

Feedback

“Exceptionally pleased with the performance and workmanship throughout the project.”

“I would be more than happy to recommend them in the future”
